As the Site Safety Health Officer, Mr. Berry, was responsible for overseeing and documenting project execution and enforcing safety protocols for the Pacific Air Forces Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) replacement project.
Mr. Berry, lead a qualified Team trained in Fire Suppression systems at Yokota AFB in Fussa, Japan.
Mr. Berry, provided environmental support to facilitate transition of the USAF fire suppression systems at Yokota Air Base from the present use of eight-carbon (C8) AFFF to a more environmentally friendly fire suppression product, (C6) AFFF.
The tasks consisted of removing and disposing of C8 AFFF (containing PFOA/PFOS) concentrate and the actual tank bladders.
