Wisconsin State Teacher of the Year 2021

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction selects five educators annually to represent different sectors of the state's school system: teachers serve as advocates for students and educators throughout the state.

Certified professional teachers are expected to plan, instruct, and assess student learning while maintaining a safe, positive classroom environment. They must meet Wisconsin Educator Standards in planning, instruction, and assessment, while also engaging in ethical, professional behavior, including collaborating with families and colleagues.
