I'm a customer-centered, well-organized and easy learner with any position that I have ever had. I thrive at delivering great service and putting my "all" into the work and the tasks that I need to accomplish. As a former Library Assistant, I was educated in the field of the Library, including navigating databases, helping students with research papers, and studying the Library of Congress numbering system. I love collections and archiving of materials and prioritizing them with proper maintenance. I'm very personable and approachable at all times, and I enjoy helping other thrive and succeed.
Provide assistance at the library circulation desk, answer phones, check library materials in and out, register customers for library cards, and order various library materials.
Organized library shelves, materials, and equipment in clear, alphabetized order. Handled check-in and check-out process of library books and materials at the circulation desk. Placed books on proper shelves when returned to circulation. Located library materials, resources, and technologies to fulfill patron requests. Answered questions from patrons and helped to find desired materials. Took minutes and gave insights and input to all librarians during weekly meetings. I was involved in the college's activities/events and helped put together unique, artistic library displays for my own branch and often at other branches of the college.
I was responsible for handling Fine Art Laser-Print Woodcut Signs for a wide variety of clients, nationwide. I checked in the products, maintained customer service courtesy, worked with a database for the products and visited the warehouse where the products were created for pickup. I was essentially overseeing the entire product getting into the hands of the buyer. I packaged these wood prints and also delivered them out on a daily basis.
I was primarily a package handler, but I also loaded the trucks at night with packages for that morning's delivery shipments.
For this magazine, which was based at Georgia Perimeter College (now GSU, after the merger), I was a freelance writer, writing articles about Fine Art Photography, as well as putting together curated galleries for the magazine's website, which often turned into exhibitions in various locales in Atlanta.
I was also the Poetry Editor, where I gathered a selection of contemporary poets from all across the nation and world to put together a quarterly issue of work by the aforementioned poets, which was published on the website.
