• Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols throughout the retirement community, including
common areas, parking lots, and surrounding grounds, to ensure safety and security.
• Access Control: Monitor and control access to the community, ensuring that only authorized
individuals enter the premises.
• Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, emergencies, or medical situations promptly
and professionally, following established protocols.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with residents, staff, and
emergency services as needed. Report incidents and security concerns to the appropriate
authorities.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security concerns.
Complete reports and incident documentation as required.
• Safety Measures: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Identify
potential security risks and recommend improvements to management.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors, assisting them
with any security-related inquiries or concerns.
• Quickly responds to Patients, visitors and hospital personnel in of need help or guidance and assist in diffusing verbal and/or physical altercations.
• Reports security breaches, fires, and safety hazards.
• Provides escorts to hospital facilities and parking lots upon request from staff.
• Participate in investigations through data collection and documentation of incident reports.
• Rapid response to threatening area to set up controls required for emergencies, fires, codes, alarms, and other safety issues, as well as participating in routine safety training courses.
• Collect, examine, and log patient property and belongings and ensure they are properly secured until time of discharge.
• Provide security for patients, employees and visitors; protecting hospital buildings, assets and patrolling interior and exterior premises as assigned.
• Makes safe and efficient use of all of the department's equipment.
