This job has provided me with insight and knowledge about what it means to be detail-oriented. During my time with this company, I had a range of different responsibilities. This company specialized in decal making, vehicle wrapping (full/partial), as well as the creation and installation of different sized signs. At this job, I was responsible for the cutting out and application of vinyl on composite materials, as well as vehicles. Along with this, came shipping out different materials/vinyl to customers that were not in the immediate area. As the head runner of our shipping department, my duties included packaging the materials, applying shipping labels to those packages, as well as making sure they got delivered to their destination(s) in a safe manner. With this job, I have learned how to be meticulous, diligent in my work, exact in the measurements and cutting, as well as how to work collaboratively as a team with everyone in the office.
My primary role at this job was to break/test the design strength of concrete cylinders from different state/county projects. Other responsibilities include; testing the durability and moisture collection of asphalt, ensuring compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and other relevant standards, operating testing equipment, to include compression and flexural testing. Through this job, I have gained real-world engineering experience and broadened my knowledge on how to speak to clients and better tailor my data to their necessary requirements.
