I started working as a CNA at 16 years old and worked my way up to RN. I was a single mother and knew that furthering my career is what my daughter and I deserved. I worked at a Skilled nursing facility called Hilltop Manor for a majority of my working career and my hopes are that I find a place like that in my next job. I am a team player and work well with others. I love learning and have no problem with receiving criticism. I get along well with others and avoid drama at all costs. I help my coworkers the best I can and have no problem doing CNA work. I have many years of experience in skilled nursing care that includes, IV therapy, wound care, peg tube feedings/care, catheter care, blood draws, medication passes, accucheck/insulin, Alzheimer/dementia/variety of mental health disorders.
I currently work at Louisburg Health and rehab and would love another PRN job to pick up shifts at. My kids are very busy with sports and other activities and I have found that working PRN is the best for our family. At my current job I am in charge of monitoring vitals, skilled charting, IV therapy, wound care, accucheck/insulin administration, ADLs, and communicating with doctors regarding patient care.
