  • Perform all necessary analysis for our sales tax and use tax accounts. Discuss with management to determine if there are any issues. Work with contacts across Abbott business units to resolve reconciling items. Work with outside contacts at Vertex and Grant Thorntons to resolve any tax issues.
  • Responsible and manage all tasks required to complete the 1042 tax compliance process. This includes requesting and reviewing all foreign payment reports, requesting all data related to royalty, intercompany interest payments, and payments to officers and other foreign individuals. Determine which transactions are taxable on form 1042-S, ensure all necessary W-8Ben tax forms are on file. Summarize all work and present it to Division Management. Fill out all tax forms 1042-5, 1042 and 1042-T and file timely with the IRS.
