I am Diego Rios-Alvarez, and I'm eager to apply as a transfer student to continue my undergraduate education at Texas A&M University. I want to pursue a degree in Applied Mathematics and gain the education and principles needed for a successful career. I am confident that my skills will make me a good fit in the student body and that my work ethic will be reflected in my contributions to the community.
The campus at College Station is the perfect environment for me to follow my goals. I want to continue my education in an academically challenging environment that can allow me to develop my full potential. I am particularly interested in learning from professors such as Harold Boas, who have an excellent academic record and have been distinguished by their teaching excellence. The facilities, faculty, and community characterize themselves from any other university. The campus at College Station is in what seems to be the heart of the city, which allows me to commute easily to any place I might need to go. The Aggie family is its broad and diverse community which makes College Station a harmonious place to live. The proximity to metropolitan cities like Austin and Houston would allow me access to a cultural environment that I've been missing out in El Paso.
