Accomplishments

Accomplishments

Over the past few years, I actively participated in the Anti-Bias Learning Circle cohort for two consecutive years. This transformative experience equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively implement Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity education in my classroom, as well as within the families I work with. Through this cohort, I engaged in deep reflection, examining my own personal biases and identity. This self-reflection allowed me to integrate multicultural education seamlessly into my teaching practices.

Currently, I am enrolled in the Philly Pride Project, a program dedicated to empowering educators in promoting racial, multicultural, and identity inclusion. This cohort serves as a dynamic forum for sharing experiences, exploring new perspectives, and providing valuable resources. Through this ongoing engagement, I am continuously expanding my knowledge and strategies to support children in developing a positive racial identity.

By actively participating in these cohorts, I have honed my ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all students. I am equipped with the necessary tools and resources to address sensitive topics and promote open discussions on race, identity, and inclusion.

Overall, my involvement in the Anti-Bias Learning Circle cohort and enrollment in the Philly Pride Project demonstrate my commitment to ongoing professional growth and my dedication to cultivating a culturally responsive and inclusive educational experience for all children.

I actively participated in the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Support) program offered by PHMC (Public Health Management Corporation). As a member of the Core Leadership Team, I played a vital role in supporting the implementation of PBIS functions. Collaborating closely with program coaches, I contributed to the development of program priorities, goals, and the implementation of effective strategies.

In recognition of my exceptional work ethic and dedication, I was honored with the Distinguished Dean's Honors at Arcadia University in the Fall of 2022. This achievement reflects my commitment to excellence as both a diligent worker and a dedicated student.
