Public health researcher with expertise in health communication. A primary focus of the research is in understanding tobacco marketing strategies targeting priority populations, especially across social media platforms. The research utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and has been widely cited. Led research development of critical projects, guided staff in use of appropriate research techniques, and ensured the fidelity of research findings produced by the team. Worked successfully with several community-based partners to ensure the implementation of evidence-based research. A key component is translation of research findings to policy efforts and dissemination of findings across several platforms.
