  • I worked to connect our clients to resources for their prenatal care, mental health, maternal substance abuse support and prepare expectant mothers for delivery. We provided housing, food, clothing and other resources throughout the state. Our program was statewide no-cost navigational program providing resources to home-visiting, prenatal classes and more. I was responsible for the Ubi care marketing piece of the Labor of Love program creating informational for events for Lovelace Women's Hospital. I am a certified Safer NM Technician I provided support in car seat support for our program. I also was a part of the Bernalillo County Home visiting Work Group I was also a part of their steering committee. Skills I gained with the Labor of Love program providing tours, Epic Training and the Database training. I provided these resources in Spanish for clients that were in need.

  • This was my first position as a Director. I learned to organize three programs as well as supervise seven educators and look after the well being of 46 students. These programs were pre-Pre K, PreK and the afterschool program. I made sure all students documents were up to date and filed in their individual file. Made sure the preschool had all their updated state standards. This included Covid mandated procedures with safety plans in place. Contacted ECECD weekly completing the weekly updates for Covid. Met with state officials and Educators around New Mexico due to the updates in our state pertaining to new regulations or changes to rules and regulations that needed to be updated or changed. During this time I as a Director had to complete state training for all personal in preschool including my annual trainings. Created portfolios for all teachers and I this included :trainings and all curriculum and lesson plans. Also I organized annual trainings for staff and implemented a community library for educators. Worked with Epics database to complete state requirements for enrollment of students in the Pre pre K and Pre K classrooms. I also completed monthly invoices to all families. Made purchase orders for supplies needed in the classrooms. Was responsible for the enrollment of the students and all enrollment packets. Was responsible for all notices that were handed out to families. I also partook in a meeting for eligibility and submission of students attending the school. I collaborated with community service programs in meetings for the studners who were receiving early intervention and these meetings were to implement better strategies to educators and parents. Lastly I met weekly with the individual Program Director's to collaborate and follow up with current duties. During this time as Director I was able to meet with families and was able to provide Spanish translation to all who needed it.
