Volunteer Experience

For the last (25) twenty-five years I have co-chaired the organization Women Who Inspire. Women Who Inspire started from a group of women who worked at Philadelphia Department of Prisons, who joined together in 1997 in an effort to transform and give hope to impoverished families during the holiday season. Starting out as just a small group of women volunteering in various workplaces, WWI has grown primarily through word- of- mouth. All of the donations received by WWI provided basic essential needs to various families.

For the past sixteen years we have partnered with different organizations such as: Shuler Recreation Center, Mander (after-school program), Gompers Elementary School, Rivera Recreation Center, Hank Gathers Center & Smith Playground (Literacy program) to help us fulfill our mission that prides itself on giving back to the community by providing food, clothing and toys to families facing the effects of poverty.
