  • My current position as of April 2022
  • This is a full time position in which I'm working at an elementary school
  • As a paraprofessional, I work as an assistant with the teacher in charge of the classroom, working with special needs children ages 3-5
  • Provided one-on-one support to students with special needs, fostering supportive learning environment.
  • Some deal with behavior issues or perhaps autism or are somewhere on the spectrum
  • However, it is my duty to make sure they are safe, educated, well behaved, etc
  • Fostered a positive learning environment by establishing strong rapport with students, parents, and faculty members.
  • Enhanced classroom efficiency through organizing instructional materials, managing daily schedules, and preparing resources for lessons as needed.

  • I sometimes help out in the bookstore with packing laptops and supplies for students at the beginning of a new semester every month

  • I was hired to work as a clerical office assistant
  • Basically, I was to be helping out in the office doing tasks, whether minimal or colossal
  • I had to have basic computer skills like typing, printing, or faxing, etc
  • I also had organization skills that were used
  • I made flyers and other notifications for public events and was expected to show up to them as well

Accomplishments

As of 2023, I am now a published author! I have written 2 books; the first one is a novel called "Hillstone" and it is the first book in a series, following fictional experiences in my hometown. Then, I wrote a children's book called "The Different Ones"

  • Student Motivation - Developed materials for after-school book club to motivate student to read classic novels and increase literacy among middle school students.
  • Part of the National Honor Society in my junior/senior year of high school
