FreSH TX is a FLO (Freshman Leadership Organization) that I was a part of during my time at Texas A&M Galveston. As a part of this organization I would volunteer for events both on and off of campus in order to help out various groups and gain leadership experience. Some of these events would include serving food at the Lunar New Year Festival and helping fill up Easter eggs for a church during Big Event.
As a member of the Boy Scouts of America from 8th to 10th grade, I often volunteered by catering to the elderly. I did so by visiting them in their nursing homes to spend time with them, or sing to them during the holidays. On other occasions my troop would clean up trash at churches or in parks.
From 10th to 12th grade I was part of the CCISD First Robotics team Chips 324. I was on the team from its inception in my sophomore year and gained experience in how to design and build a robot as well as teamwork. It also allowed me to grow my knowledge of machinery and what it takes to be part of a competitive, professional team.
From my freshman to senior year of high school I was a part of German club. This club takes time to appreciate German culture, and helps inform those who are interested in taking German about the class.
From my freshman to my senior year of high school I was a part of Earth Club. As an Earth club member I would collect recycling from the teacher's classrooms. I also did some creative projects to promote recycling and working for a better environment.
