Accomplishments

Accomplishments
  • Kids In Focus, an initiative to increase coping for visiting children in the MICU, facilitated, implemented in 2015. "Kids in Focus" became a book, used to familiarize children visiting friends and family members in the ICU on what to expect before entering the patients room, using an educational "non-scary" approach. Collaboration with various Certified Child Life Specialist was needed to ensure appropriateness of the content. The book catered to ages 3 and older, and classified as a Magnet project still being used in all five of Houston Methodist Central ICU's and outlining hospitals.
  • I have two children, Zoe is 13 and Tenley is 11. They keep me young, and enjoy watching their volleyball and cheer. I also love to be outdoors..at the beach, hiking, or riding my bike.
