Unaccompanied Child Coordinator

• Work with the Office of Refugee Resettlement and MVM in order to reunite unaccompanied children with their family members. As well as work alongside ICE and HSI Agents in order to ensure proper transfer of documents.
• Create transfers/manifests to help coordinate custody from the facility to the shelters where these children wait for reunification with their family.
• Provide medical documents and updates to ORR in order to ensure minors are being turned over to a shelter that can accommodate their needs.
• Review minors' paperwork/documents to ensure their processing procedures and their data in the system are all correct.
• Review minors' points of contact and addresses where they were planning to travel to, once out of custody.
• Provide open conversations with the minors in order to assess how they are feeling and if they have any questions or concerns.

Pod Officer

• Accounted for and maintained detainees' well-being while under custody at the facility.
• Provided meals, water, and snacks for detainees.
• Conducted welfare checks on the detainees to maintain a good and safe environment for everyone who was under my supervision.
• Ensured the Department's Rules and Regulations to the detainees in order to explain what the standards are while under custody at the facility.
• Provided assistance and medical services for all those in need.

Intake Officer

• Worked alongside Border Patrol Agents and Customs Officers to accept transfers of detainees to the facility.
• Accounted for every single individual and their property that were brought into custody in the facility.
• Inspected and searched detainees and their property to ensure no illegal contraband or other substances were brought into the facility.
• Fingerprinted detainees for record checks.

Transportation Officer

• Drive agency-marked vehicles to provide transportation of detainees from the field to the facility.
• Ensured all detainees were searched and accounted for before departure.
• Worked alongside Border Patrol Agents in order to ensure the best possible routes for pickups and drop-offs for detainees.

• Worked at the McAllen and Laredo West stations, helping with different assorted tasks.
• Worked alongside Border Patrol agents with tasks that included reports, freight loading/unloading, and stocking.

• Helped build oil facilities.
• Submitted safety data sheets for forklifts, heavy machinery, and all personnel at the job site every morning.
