President

Associated Students of the University of Washington Bothell
Bothell, Washington
07.2021 - 06.2022
  • Serving my peers as a representative in the ASUWB has been one of the most enlightening and unique opportunities of my life
  • Not only has it given me more responsibility than any position I’ve been in before, but it allowed me to truly test my limits as a coordinator, communicator, advocator and listener
  • The networks tied to my role included working with administrators at the Bothell and Seattle UW campuses, including President Cauce, Provost Richards, Chancellor Esterberg, the Board of Regents and many others
  • On a daily and weekly basis, I was tasked with developing agendas, chairing/attending meetings, visiting with students/classrooms and working with my team on their role specific projects
  • This role also gave me a look at the behind-the-scenes operations of the University; which gave me a new appreciation for the staff and faculty because of all of the hardships they endure on a day-to-day basis to give students a high-level academic experience
  • The growth and development I experienced here has truly prepared me for any setting, any obstacle, any challenge that I will face going forward.

Medical Assistant Registered

Med-X/ Scribe-X
Bellevue, Washington
03.2021 - 08.2021
  • As a registered medical assistant, I had multiple responsibilities ranging from swabbing patients as young as 9 months old to the elderly and everything in-between for the COVID-19 virus, registering patients into our solv system and explaining the process behind the COVID tests, and directing traffic to ensure an efficient and straightforward drive thru system
  • Each of these stations required strong cooperation with my peers as we always treated high volumes of patients with various needs and accessibility requirements, as everyone’s health is unique
  • Communication between medical assistants and the site supervisors was essential to a conflict free testing environment
  • On a daily basis we required support or needed to offer our support to one another when obstacles frequently arose
  • I made sure my peers were taken care of, in addition to our patients, by managing breaks, training new medical assistants, aiding those that had difficulties with patients, restocking supplies at various checkpoints, managing equipment like lights, fans, and heating-units (depending on the outside temperatures), and taking on extra responsibilities when other medical assistants were unable to come to work or continue their work at the testing site
  • I took on many of these responsibilities because I genuinely want everyone to be happy and healthy, both the people I work alongside and the patients that I was responsible for treating and serving.

  • My responsibilities here were broad and wildly different from one another.
