My family serves as the unwavering motivation to pursue my career goals and the inspiration for consistent betterment. My values include empathy, self-accountability, patience, and gratitude. Each of these values will be pivotal in my career as a drug and alcohol rehabilitation counselor which is my goal upon completion of my master's degree.
In pursuit of a master's degree in psychology to specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, I have maintained high academic honors as a consistent Dean's List student with a GPA of 3.7.I have a passion for facilitating a positive impact or improvement in the quality of life of others and I aim to use CBT to stretch that positive impact as widely as possible to people in various circumstances but focusing on drug counseling due to experience with loved ones in my own life that have impacted and inspired me in many ways.
In my career, I will utilize my advanced skills in compassion, creativity, dedication, and leadership to reach and surpass my professional goals and make the positive impact that I know I am capable of and that fellow humans deserve. When I'm not working or studying, I live to raise my tiny humans to the best of my ability and we enjoy playing outside, making art, travelling, cooking, and reading together.
