Elena Policky

I run my own activity as a freelance portrait and event photographer. In the past few years I worked between Italy and Germany mostly taking portraits in different contexts of family and private events and for public events like festivals and several art performances. I am also very interested in land products, local traditions and food production so I have been dedicating part of my work to these type of realities documenting the specificities and stories behind their production.

After taking a specialized course with experts and obtaining a Certificate in Cheese Making Craft I worked part-time with cheese producers helping with the making of the cheese and local products, with the sales at markets and in the restaurant affiliated.

I worked serving food at a local gourmet burgers restaurant in between the pandemic lockdowns.

I worked assisting the work with the cattle during summertime when the animals are brought higher in the mountains, while assisting with making cheese.

I worked at times part-time and at times full-time helping with cooking, serving and catering for a small organic restaurant in the center of Bologna.

I worked in the organization of a craft dedicated festival called "Manulamente" mostly daling with relations with international exhibitors.

I took and passed on calls, registered appointments, organized documents and welcomed guests.

I worked for a small shop seeling traditional cornish pasties.

Maintained clean and organized work areas at all times to bring safety and quality to food preparation process.

Projected films, responsible for theatre security.

I learned and helped the role projectionist and sub for him when needed.
