I am currently a dispatcher for Cataldo Ambulance in the City of Holyoke. My job consists of dispatching medical 911's to EMTs and Paramedics on duty depending on the priority of the emergency. I currently use a CAD system to configure calls. Method of communication is currently the iNet911 radio system. I am comfortable and experienced with radio etiquette and terminology. I have completed the EMD training course and received my certificate. At the moment I do not have the authority to take initial 911 call so i work closely with our Malden office and Holyoke PD to be able to dispatch proper personnel to emergencies. I work closely with Holyoke Medical Center Hospital and contracted facilities to provide transportation to patients who have medical necessities requiring ambulance transport. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask efficiently. Able to remain focused and professional when dealing with difficult situations.

As a transportation dispatcher at First Student in Spfld MA my job duties included the planning and assignments of routes with our contracted school department. I oversaw about 200 fleet drivers and routes to promote successful transportation needs and excellent customer service. I adjusted plans depending on traffic, weather conditions, employee call outs and mechanical maintenance in order to be able to meet daily requirements, service needs and coverage. Supervised employees to assure they were adhering to safety standards and accurate time management. Effectively resolved complaints from community and contracted organizations. Worked directly with maintenance to assure vehicle inspections met safety requirements. Dispatched using a 2 way radio system and used Zonar fleet tracking system.

During my employment at Square One in Spfld MA, I was able to meet and exceed workflow needs. I was able to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently to accomplish company service goals. I managed daily transportation needs and scheduling. My job consisted of training 7D drivers to accurately triage and follow dispatch procedures. I handled all incoming calls and requests for transportation needs. Worked closely with child care providers to assure on time pick up and drop off times. Maintained a safe and healthy childcare environment. Participated in many professional development learning opportunities.
