High School Involvement
Varsity Tennis team: I was a varsity tennis player during my 4 years of high school and the team captain my senior year. Chair of Spirit Committee (student council): I planned activities to increase student engagement with school events. I also led the student section at sporting events to create positive energy. Club Squash team: I joined as first time player in 10th grade. I was the team captain in my junior and senior year. I also created and directed the social media page for the team. Best Buddies: Throughout High School I was a peer buddy with special needs students and engaged in different kinds of activities with them. Camp Counselor: Supervise 11-year old girls as a live-in counselor. Organize group activities and resolve conflicts between campers. I also teach tennis to campers ages 8-15
Experience
- Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI): I was a student at AMHSI from January- March 2022. While on Muss, I got involved with JNF through helping with the AMHSI instagram.
- Sababa Fellow: I applied for the Sababa fellowship in the spring of 2022. When I became a fellow, I learned more about being a leader in the Jewish community through monthly meetings. I also attended the Sababa retreat in Boston 2022.
- Host Committee member: I applied for the host committee for the JNF conference in the Spring of 2022. I met monthly with the committee to discuss my ideas and thoughts about the conference. I planned and lead a fun ice breaker activity for all of the high schoolers that attended the summit.
- High School Summit Chair: I was nominated to be the High School Summit Chair for the 2023 HSS in Denver. I planned and led multiple sessions that encouraged High Schoolers to be leaders in their communities. I led the summit by speaking at many sessions and helping the high schoolers feel empowered.
- Hebrew School Teaching Assistant: I led programs to engage students with the community. I also led a successful school supplies drive for impoverished children through my synagogue. For 4 years I taught Hebrew and Jewish Values to elementary students.
