- Analyze member files/update beneficiary data update annuity increases due to death on a case by case basis
- Setup/verify death benefits
- Collaborate with teams of up to 20 employees prior to team split and assist as Team Leader Back up with duties as assign work to team as needed and prepare weekly reports to be submitted to management
- Process and train complex surviving heir files
- Assist team with replying to questions addressed to Claims Review Group
- Communicate with school districts, banks, nursing homes, funeral homes, etc. in order to obtain contact information for next of kin on members/member's families that have deceased and we have no last known address
- Maintain organization of assigned work to meet delivery standards as expected by management
- Worked with a subject matter experts (SMEs), developers, and business analysts to design a salary screen now implemented for active death processes
- Perform remote work effectively to meet production standards.

Retired and Active Claims new death and payment processor since June 2001. Manager back up for Mike Rehling, Rita Hodde, Catherine Wallen, and Iliana Raup over 22 years on claims. Team Trainer for Active and Retired New hires on Claims. Weekly In-office person during pandemic. RET/DTH UAT Tester in Fall 2022 thru Spring 2023 for Claims.One of three processors tasked with Advanced Heirship Processing for Claims. Assisted and Trained team during RAP/DTH Go Live launch to TRUST for claims. PBT UAT tester for Claims in Spring for 2025 to current date in preparation for launch in 2026 of Payroll Benefit Adjustment and Taxes. Team trainer for surviving heir files, currently training 5 processors.
LEADERSHIP
- Co-chaired and Chaired the SECC Campaign since 2009 - 2011 with positive results and participation in the years served. Disseminated information regarding campaign plans to planning committee of 30 and agency employees (480+) on a timely manner and kept work deadlines intact.
