As a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) student specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) studies at Maryville University of St. Louis, I am gaining in-depth knowledge and clinical skills essential for providing comprehensive family healthcare. This program equips me with the tools to address a wide range of health concerns across various age groups and to promote health and wellness within the community.
I started my career as an ER RN 8 years ago. Two years ago, I decided to pursue a career in the OR as a nurse circulator and have gained experience in trauma, orthopedics, cardiac, and robotic surgery. A decade of practice in the critical care setting has taught me leadership, autonomy, and perseverance skills. I will graduate in May 2026 with my MSN, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The skills I have learned through my intensive care experiences and the training I received while earning my MSN will yield positive outcomes as I move forward into practicing as an FNP.
