• Varsity Volleyball (JV 9th Grade), 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grade. As the captain of my volleyball team, I led by example both on and off the court. I started as the underdog in my first year at varsity, but I developed a different level of confidence, leading me to be the team leader. As team captain, I adapt to and learn from my teammate's preferences so that our team chemistry remains strong. I received the first nomination for Top Plays of the Week by News Channel 21, Went to state in 2023, and Elected 1st team All Conference player.
• Summit Junior Storm Volleyball Camp, 10th, 11th, 12th. As a Summit Junior Storm Camp coach, I encouraged teamwork, skill development, and a love for the sport. I led drills to improve fundamental techniques, organized fun, competitive games to enhance strategy, and encouraged each child's growth. My goal was to build confidence and create a positive, energetic environment!
• Bend Family Kitchen, 9th, 10th, 11th. As a volunteer at Bend Family Kitchen, I helped prepare and serve meals, making sure each guest received food and a warm welcome. I assisted in organizing supplies, maintained a clean kitchen, and engaged with visitors to make them feel valued. My goal was to make all feel welcome and make them laugh. A laugh can be so impactful.
• Math Club, 11th. In Math Club, I solved difficult problems and discussed mathematical concepts. I worked with peers on difficult projects, led study sessions, and organized days where we would create presentations on math-related topics. My goal was to create a supportive atmosphere to enhance our shared understanding or even misunderstandings of math.
• The Wall Street Business Club, 12th. I participated in workshops or seminars on various business topics, such as entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, or management. That were led by teachers, local business professionals, and guest speakers. This club also gave a little insight to students wanting to invest in the stock market but didn’t know how.
• NPJ Beach Volleyball Club, 10th, 11th, 12th. At the NPJ Beach Volleyball Club, I placed 3rd at the Seaside Beach Tournament, one of the largest beach volleyball events in the USA. I also earned a bid to the national championships in Florida by winning a separate tournament. It was exciting to be able to coach my own team!
• NPJ Indoor Volleyball Club, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th. At the NPJ Volleyball Club, my team and I placed 3rd in the Pacific Northwest qualifier, earning a bid to compete in the national championships. Having played club volleyball since 7th grade, this achievement was a significant milestone and a testament to our dedication and teamwork.
