I’ve always had great connections with kids and children. I’ve always connected with them in the most positive way to where they feel comfortable and open to myself and others around them. I have a cousin who I grew up that felt more like a brother to me because I would spend time with him everyday who has Autism and as a kid he’s always felt safe and enjoyed connecting with me in terms of speaking, expressing feelings in positive ways, shared stories from his day that he’s had, tried caring for me as I cared for him because he saw how I’d always protect him from little fights with his older sister, although there were times that became a little challenging I grew to acknowledge those situations and learned to help them cope in situations that feel overwhelming and stressful. I grew up in a home where mental awareness was always acknowledged because of my dad being a therapist and I attached those skills into building a stronger relationship with my cousin as well as his friends he brought to his home. I come up with amazing games, strategies to help them open with one another because I know it can be difficult at times to connect with other children whether that’d be at home or at school so I feel strongly in providing great care and responsibility in creating a healthy and exciting environment for kids who need assistance in sustainable improvement in reading, communication, social skills, as well as day to day routine skills.
