Growing up in a household where both of my immigrant parents instilled in me a strong work ethic, I was inspired to pursue a career in Public Safety as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Despite societal expectations discouraging me as a woman from reaching for ambitious goals, I was motivated by the determination of my parents and elder brothers.
As a former student-athlete, I honed my teamwork and leadership skills, which have been invaluable in my training to become an EMT. I faced numerous challenges while striving to become a firefighter, but I remained resilient and dedicated to overcoming physical and mental obstacles through rigorous training and practical experience.
During my college years, I sought employment in the restaurant industry to support my studies and further developed my teamwork abilities and work ethic. These qualities, combined with the hands-on experience gained during EMT Clinicals, have equipped me with the necessary skills for a career in clinical care and emergency response.
Reflecting on my journey so far, I am eager to explore future opportunities to leverage my diverse experiences within a collaborative team environment. My background has cultivated strong leadership abilities, perseverance, and a deep commitment to serving others.
