Emili Rice

Emili Rice is a soprano who is passionate about pursuing a career in classical voice and opera. She has received a Bachelor of Music and a minor in Classics from McGill University, Schulich School of Music, and recently completed her Master of Music degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Emili also engages in various forms of stage combat and ballroom dance to enhance her career on stage.

• Stage combat: Level 1 Unarmed: Recognized as a Beginning Combatant with distinction by Dueling Arts International.
• Stage Combat: Level 1 Single Rapier for the stage: Recognized as an Introductory Combatant by Dueling Arts International.
• Washington State Class 12 Permit
• Food Handler's Permit

2022:

• Dean's Honor List, McGill University Schulich School of Music- Graduated in the top 10% of the class of 2022

2019:

• Consours National pour Choeurs Amateurs Canadiens- McGill's Schulich Singers placed first in the collegiate choir division. I was the soloist for one of the pieces.

2018:

• Schmidt Vocal Competition- 3rd place in the Seattle district
• AP Scholar with Honor Award- Awarded to students who receive an average of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
• PAFE Performing Festival of the Eastside- 1st place solo voice in the 11th-12th grade division; Michael Kyser prize for best overall voice.

2017:

• AP Scholar with Honor Award- (see above)
• PAFE Performing Festival of the Eastside- 1st place solo voice in the 11th-12th grade division; Michael Kyser prize for best overall voice.

2016:

• PAFE Performing Festival of the Eastside- 1st place solo voice in the 9th-10th grade division; 1st place classical voice duet.
