Work History

Youth Prosecutor/Youth Defender

Anchorage Youth Court
Achorage, AK
04.2025 - Current

I went to Anchorage Youth Court Training during Spring Break of 2025, and since then I have worked as a Prosecutor, Defender, Bailiff, and Court Reporter for the youth court. My favorite role is Defender, I like this role because it is the most challenging and I like that I can help people.

Some of the things I did when working for the youth court are:

  • Conducted legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Presented cases in court, advocating for youth accountability and rehabilitation.
  • Protected community safety by advocating for appropriate sentencing measures in criminal cases.

Babysitter

Eagle River, AK
11.2024 - Current

When I was working as a Babysitter I was watching 4 children from ages 3 to 8 years old, for about 4 hours at a time. I watched the children at their house while their parents and mine were playing games.

Being a babysitter taught me a lot about being patient, and staying calm. The children were hyperactive and loud, it was hard to keep track of all four of them and even harder keeping them quiet. After a few months, I was able to keep them busy and calm them down when they started misbehaving.

Team Member

ERHS Drama, Debate, And Forensics Team
Eagle River, AK
09.2025 - 03.2026

While I was a member of the DDF team I would do informative speeches, debates, and dramatic interpretations. We would do one tournament each month during the year, and tournaments would be over 12 hours of work, 3 days in a row.

DDF helped me learn how to work with a team, how to be creative, and helped me find confidence in public speaking. I cried when I gave my first speech because I was so nervous, but by the end of the season I was not afraid at all. I was one of only two students at my school to make it to the State tournament Semi-Finals for my informative speech.
