Journeys

09/20/2022-present

Journeys is a healing group for all kinds of hurts and hang ups. I work with the youth while their parents were in their healing groups. We did he same work that the parents do but on a level that youth would enjoy and understand. I have lead the elementary school, high school healing groups and am currently leading the middle school group.  We talk about ways to help work through anger, grief, stress, and more emotions that come up when dealing with hurts and hang ups. Being there for the youth and becoming a safe place for them to come and express their thoughts and feelings that they can't always share. I worked with the elementary kids in 2020 before I left for school in Bemidji.

Missions

July 17-24 2021

Mission trip to Anchorage Alaska where I helped out at a women's shelter and created crafts with the women and created a welcoming space for them to share their stories and feel heard and cared for. Cooked meals for a homeless shelter and packed bags of food for the homeless community to have. Provided transportation for children who needed it and created a warm and welcoming relationship.

July 22-25 2018

Mission trip to Nashville Tennessee where I was part of the children's group and we gave them meals and played games and did crafts with them. We listened and created bonds with the. children. The children were living in an area that had a high possibility of shutting down the homes.

June 17-June 23 2017

Mission trip to the Crow Indian Reservation in Wyoming.  During this mission trip I helped clean up the schools and the area in the reservation. Learned a lot about the culture. Helped in the children's group where we played lots of basketball and learned all kinds of stories.
