Preforms all tasks in sterile processing and distribution department. Decontamination, instrument tray organization and assembly, sterilization load building and documentation.

Communicates frequently with operating room technicians and nurses to ensure all surgical supply needs are met, often is in contact with other Hospital personnel for sterile towels or small sterile instrument sets.

Familiar with re-stocking Code Red emergency carts and coverage of Equipment Management.

Preformed all sterile processing functions: decontamination,

assembling and organizing instruments and instrument sets, built sterilization loads, documenting all tests and print outs in computer system. Worked closely with Operating Room for collecting all the need lists for next day surgeries . Pulled all instruments and sterile supplies for surgery cases and made sure all cases that were scheduled first in the day were in the sterile OR core.

Covered areas in Endoscopy department, cleaning all types of flexible scopes in chemical or manual processes.

Processed instrument trays and sets through decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization and distribution. Assembled all items and instruments on case carts for next day surgical procedures, creating needs lists of instruments and supplies to share with sterile processing coworkers as well as designated OR personnel.
