MDU Fiber Optic Field Supervisor

• Supervise and coordinate all phases of MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) fiber optic construction and installation projects.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee fiber optic installations in apartment units, ensuring proper routing, termination, testing, and activation.
• Manage underground fiber construction, conduit installation, and cable placement activities.
• Supervise fiber splicing operations, ensuring low-loss splices and accurate documentation.
• Coordinate the installation, organization, and maintenance of IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) closets, including fiber panels, patch panels, and equipment.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout every phase of the project.
• Coordinate daily activities with project managers, subcontractors, property managers, and installation crews.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve field challenges to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Monitor project progress, maintain schedules, and ensure timely completion of all apartment units and common-area infrastructure.
• Perform fiber testing using OTDR and power meters, verify system performance, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Train, mentor, and support field technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and consistent productivity.
• Manage materials, equipment, and inventory to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
