- Employed as a JDO after 3 weeks of in-service training and 10 week state certified training academy. Was assigned to every unit, including BMU, worked Transport and was certified for Central Control/Admissions during my first few months of employment.
- I have worked alongside previous administrations in recreating many forms and records still in use today.
- Assisted in restraining unruly and violent residents.
- Monitored resident behavior to prevent conflict and physical altercations.
- Continually monitored Units while in the dayroom, gymnasium and classrooms for inappropriate activity.
- While on Transport, Enforced resident behavior and wrote incident reports, when necessary for rule infractions.
- As Central Control Officer I monitored resident and staff movements, controlled building access and ensured that proper protocol was followed for new intakes.
