I am applying for the position as Academic Personnel Specialist. I completed my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University in May 2003 and passed the National Counselor’s Exam in October 2002. My course work included: Counseling Theories and Techniques, Group Counseling, Analysis of the Individual, Testing Theories and Applications, Career Counseling and Resources, Personality Theories, Practicum and Multicultural Counseling. These classes provided me with the understanding of multicultural sensitivity, performing intakes, assessments, counseling techniques, counseling ethics, and theories I needed for my professional career. 


Currently, I am an Arizona Licensed Professional Counselor and my license number is LPC-17489. I have extensive experience in working with multiculturally diverse and vulnerable clients with trauma. I work for Gila River Behavioral Health in which I service all tribal members in the state of Arizona. The professional positions I have held as a supervisor have allowed me to read and follow hiring practices and policies from Human Resources, advised departments and their representatives on personnel including promotion and recruitment and hiring, performed probationary reviews, staff annual evaluations, resignation and rehire status.
