Work History

Senior Portfolio Manager

M&T Bank
Philadelphia, PA
12.2023 - Current
  • Responsible for credit monitoring of C&I middle market borrowers across several of M&T Bank's markets.
  • Most recently, I worked on transitioning the Annual Reviews of borrowers in my portfolio from a Microsoft Word template memo to nCino memos, phased in the Periodic Review Process with the Line of Business, Covenant Delinquency Protocol, and Operation Clean Up.
  • Credit monitoring consisted of covenant calculations and monitoring, timely PD risk rating migration, annual reviews, periodic review process, and at times, audit/third line of defense requests.
  • Worked with several teams, including the Credit Review team, offshore team, Credit Officers, Line of Business, and Pre/Post Closing team.

BaaS Relationship Officer,

BankProv
Amesbury, MA
09.2022 - Current
  • Implementing, servicing and managing Banking as a Service enterprise partnerships that require extensive bank compliance surveillance and bespoke API solutions to embed third party management services through our specialty financial division i.e. fintechs, start ups, digital asset custodians, Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), alternative retirement investments, digital asset exchanges, payment services, fund administrators, crowd funding, etc.
  • Part of a new division for the bank that has high visibility from top management. Portfolio consisted of about $325 million from 6 BaaS partners.
  • Challenge: The role's main challenge was to help develop a new streamline approach to effectively meet regulatory and fiduciary requirements, MSA obligations for new complex relationships to the bank. This included collecting and reviewing 120+ due diligence risk items for annual and/or implementation reviews and leading teams to deliver new solutions and product requests.
  • Action and Result: Developed and implemented processes for internal partners (InfoSec, BSA/AML, Compliance, Credit, Fraud, Operations) to streamline onboarding, product amendments and annual review process. The result was processes being used by the IT to build an approval dashboard for management on our CRM software. This included monthly, annual and implementation and fiduciary regulatory requirements set forth by the MSA or regulatory guidance.
  • Action and Result: Identified blockers using API data metrics and implemented new procedures resulting in streamline client service and internal operations.
  • Action and Result: Developed tracking and resolutions steps alongside AML/BSA to address account holder red flags, OFAC red flags, and transaction monitoring using Clear, Alloy, blockchain explorers and LogicGate systems. This resulted in faster resolutions and a better client experience internally and externally.
  • Action: Developed a weekly and monthly tracking mechanism across different systems to give visibility to partner transaction volume, income, deposit volatility and other metrics that management needed. This resulted in a centralized format for management to quickly review growth or gaps of the new partners.
  • Action and Result: Led weekly hands on business calls with team leads to screen ideas for partners solutions and product requests i.e. regulatory guidance on digital asset products, omnichannel accounts, Insured Cash Sweep, Debit Cards, KYC flows, Pass-Through interest, API webhooks, CIP file transmission, etc. This resulted in effective cross collaboration across teams and a strong sense of team work.
  • Action: Communicated directly with CTO's, Finance Executives and CFO's to cross sell our BaaS products to partnerships in niche industries the bank served. This demanded dynamic solutions in ambiguous areas that were new to the bank. This resulted in being the face of the relationship and built trust in the partner commitment.
