Talk To Me

I want to create a community-based project that involves mental illness and the homeless population. So many times I have walked by individuals, talking to themselves. The signs they put forth are evident they are struggling. I want to create a group that interacts with people in the community that can safely talk with these individuals and lead them to health. Is it complicated? Most definitely, but I would love for it to start somewhere.

Future Endeavors

I am looking forward to using what I have learned in previous experience. When I was employed as a kickbox instructor, a had a lot of conversations that involved emotional experiences. Often before a class that I would teach kickboxing, deep conversations would happen as I checked in with people. I would have loved to been able to help them on a professional level. I have my sights and determination on being able to do just that. I also hope to be able to combine my newfound training and skills with ones I have gained in the past. Once I obtain the education needed to fulfill the requirements in the mental health field, I want to start on combining that skill with a task or activity people already participate in……for example, a business that while having a everyday activity like a haircut or exercising, you receive mental health therapy.

Teamwork Experience
