Setting: Outpatient Hand Therapy

Supervisor: Michelle Calvani OT/CHT

• Experience treating all hand and upper extremity injuries such as carpal tunnel, tendonitis, fractures, arthritis, table saw injuries, crush injuries, gunshot wounds, etc.
• Caseload/documentation included 8-12 patients a day in a fast paced environment (often treating 2 patients at a time)
• Experience performing/documenting initial evals & reassessments for pre and post operative patients
• Interdisciplinary communication between OT/PT department

Setting: Outpatient Hand Therapy/Neruo Rehab

Supervisor: Mark Goren OT/CHT

• Hybrid patient caseload: 50/50 split between neuro patients and hand therapy patients
• Provide therapeutic rehabilitation for individuals with hand and upper extremity injuries
• Experience in neuromuscular and sensory reeducation, CIMT, return to work, safety education, and ADL modification using a remediation approach with CVA patients
• Experienced fabricating common splints including wrist cock up, short/long opponens, and resting hand splint for post-op patients

Setting: Outpatient Hand Therapy

Director of OT : Marta Profis OT/CHT

• Responsible for performing initial evaluations, establish client centered goals, and provide evidence based plan of care for each patient
• Conservative and post op treatment of various shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injuries
• Experience with instrument and manual soft tissue mobilization, PAM’s, and other therapeutic treatment using biomechanical approach
• Maintain effective communication with an interdisciplinary team that includes PT, Chiro, Acupuncture, and front desk staff.
