- Algae Nannochloropsis oculata Research (January - May 2024) - In my microbiology lab we did research on how we could use nannochloropsis oculata as a biodisiel fuel by dewatering it under UV light over a period of time. Microalgae are unicellular organisms capable of photosynthesis, converting carbon dioxide into biomass rich in lipids suitable for biodiesel production. In this lab I gained a lot of experience in a lab setting and using proper techniques to retrieve essential data for our research.
