Virginia Tech Child Development Center for Learning and Research (CDCLR) Synthesis Project

• Observed and analyzed photographs taken of the children at the CDCLR and wrote developmental progress reports on my assigned child.
• Researched developmental milestones in preschool aged children and applied theories and logic to explain developmental milestones in the photographs taken.
• Observed for a total of 5 hours at the CDCLR center on campus in the infant room.
• Finalized my synthesis project where I combined my research and observations to create a poster presentation.

Margaret Beeks Elementary School Service Learning Volunteer

• Volunteered at Margaret Beeks Elementary School as part of a human services learning project.
• Volunteered in their head start program twice weekly and worked closely with the children throughout their school day activities.
• Worked with children on many different developmental stages through activities such as alphabet learning, matching alphabetical sounds to objects, handwriting practice, music class, recess, and other basic behavioral learning.
