The Chafee Center is RI's designated agency for world trade and export activities. The Center administers the SBA'S State Trade & Expansion program providing access to funding for small businesses growing their business globally. The Center provides strategic consulting, market research and a signature World Trade Day. I developed a high-performing team by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for professional growth. Enhanced team collaboration through regular communication, goal setting, and performance evaluations.

  • Board Certified Civil Trial & Pretrial Specialist - National Board of Trial Advocacy first certified in 2000 after litigating multiple jury trials involving medical malpractice, products liability , premises liability automobile collisions, insurance coverage and successful completion of an all day written examination, and outstanding judicial and peer evaluations. Recertification every five years.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the law firm management including, case selection, human resources and case management.
  • Coordinated and led local counsel on behalf of 33 cities and towns in the National Opioid litigation. Initial settlement against three major defendants resulted in $114m for Opioid abatement. Worked in cooperation with the state attorney general and national trial counsel to pass legislation for the representation of local sectors in the governance structure.
  • Lead negotiator in many complex cases and resolved these and other cases through mediation and arbitration.
  • Frequent speaker on legal issues locally and nationally.

Significant Public Service


RI Board of Education- Chair of the Board 12/2012-3/2015

Appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate to design, develop and implement a new system of public education governance for the State of Rhode Island. Managed the first board of its kind in the US for PK-20 governance focused on early learning, k-12 curriculum and instruction, college completion and workforce development. Financial management and strategic decision making for higher education budget of $1.1B.

RI Board of Governors for Higher Education - Chair - Government Relations Committee.

Represented HIgher Education before the legislature to advocate for innovative changes to public education. Conducted public hearing on issues affecting administration of justice on campus. Conducted hearing on and led the change for a tuition policy change allowing undocumented RI high school students to pay instate tuition that was later codified into law.

Clothes to Kids RI, Inc.    CEO               

Co-founder of a 501(c)(3) public charity with its mission to provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in crisis school age children in Providence County free of charge. Leveraging personal and professional contacts grew the non profit in visibility and donations as its first CEO until March, 2023.  Currently serve as a lifetime member of the Board of Directors.  Since its inception in 2016 our charity has provided thousands of wardrobes to children in every public school in Providence County and continues to grow in scope and impace.  

Director of Confirmation & Youth Ministry , Christ The King Catholic Church Kingston, RI |Aug 2017 - April, 2023

Created and implemented a comprehensive program of instruction for the Sacrament of Confirmation under the direction of the Pastor. Facilitate classes for 8th grade students in preparation of the sacrament. Organize, fundraise and lead mission trips in the US for student involving hands on direct service to communities in need.
