As an undergraduate at Saint Peter’s University, I worked as the managing editor of the Saint Peter’s Tribune and collaborated with other editorial board members. - Traveled with my professor and fellow classmate to Guayaquil, Ecuador as a part of the media team that documented the trip and worked alongside non-profit organization Healing the Children New Jersey in its mission to assist Ecuadorean children in need of medical assistance.
- As a member of the media team, our goal was to help promote Healing the Children’s mission and spread awareness.
- The non-profit travels to different countries around the world with various doctors, surgeons, nurses and translators with the goal of helping children by providing them with life changing surgeries.
- Our trip to Guayaquil consisted of helping children receive different urological surgeries that they needed.
- As a member of the media team, I interviewed different volunteers on the mission including surgeons, nurses, parents and the patients themselves.
- Our video was used by Healing the Children that November for their Giving Tuesday campaign and the video also aired on CUNY TV.
