Evan McDaniel

I work on making sure the technology in all the branch libraries at Kent State is all up to date. A list of common tasks I complete is deploying and updating computers, checking screen displays, setting up user machines, Using Excel to document and update technology maps, and solving tech problems for faculty and students.

• For three years now I have been working as a camp counselor for the Soccer ID camp at Hawken School
• It is a one week or two week camp where I help kids develop their soccer skills and teamwork skills
• I have much experience working with kids and the other adults who run the camp

• I worked as the receptionist and office assistant for those working in the communications office in the library at Kent State University
• My job included interacting with those who come into the office for meetings, making sure the other workers in the office get their mail, and doing tasks such as filing, or preparing materials for other departments or for events

• In my senior year of high school, I got in touch with these three companies over the span of 6 months through a business class I took
• I helped with research and problem solving for struggles these companies had and pitched ideas to the CEO's, Marketing Department, and other executives from these companies
