With a background in environmental education and team leadership, I am eager to join Oberlin College's Environmental Studies department as a Teaching Assistant. My experience in creating engaging learning experiences allows me to effectively contribute to and support the department's educational goals.
Recipient of Ann Marie Schaening '87 Memorial Fund Grant
Initiated ecological restoration project at Chattahoochee Nature Center. Led the construction of a retention wall and collaborated in planting native Georgia species to resolve significant erosion impacting local wildlife and water quality. This project, which blends conservation with education, will serve as a key learning resource for the North Georgia community through the Center's school partnerships and summer camp programs.
Isdell Center for Global Leadership Study Tour, Galapagos Islands
Engaged in hands-on activities including population sampling of Galapagos tortoises, and coral reef studies involving fish counting and coral identification. Contributed to experiential education and community outreach initiatives aimed at bolstering conservation efforts in the Galapagos and enhancing awareness of global ecological preservation.
