I pet sit/house sit for some nearby neighbors whenever they need me!! I work every time they go on vacation/ need help during busy weekdays or weekends. The job consists of feeding and refilling the water bowls of a cat and dog, as well as cleaning the cat’s litter box. The dog is walked at least 3 times a day for a minimum of 15 minutes. Along with the pets, there are multiple indoor plants that need watering every 3 days. The outdoor plants need watering every morning and evening, and sometimes a third time depending on the level of heat. And for the house sitting part, it doesn’t consist of actually having to stay the night- just keeping it tidy if the pets make a mess!

As a hostess at Minsky’s Pizza, work always involved greeting customers at the door and directing them to either a table, pickup area, or door-dash order line. There is only one hostess working at a time, so all the tables are left for you to sanitize, as well as removing the dirty dishes and bringing them back to the kitchen, and collecting all menus. Floors around used tables also needed regular sweeping.

For Cashier, you must be able to take orders over the phone, and in person at the register. Being able to easily make cash or card transactions, along with returns was necessary. Cashiers are also responsible for filling out online door-dash orders. It was also important that you have the menu nearly memorized!

Both of these positions included side work on non-busy days such as: sweeping surrounding area, folding to-go boxes, wiping down counters, organising glassware, etc.
