  • Attained proficiency in department and program instructions/procedures, as well as submarine special emphasis programs (i.e. SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC).
  • Authored, performed/handled, and peer-reviewed 100+ engineering TWDs, changes, and dispositions while adhering to departmental and company quality standards and applying design-build-sustain principles.
  • Translate ship alteration (SHIPALT) and engineering change instruction (ECI) design disclosure for shipboard construction.
  • Regularly interfaced with Operations, Test, Quality Assurance, and Program Office as an active participate in project certification audits with the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Groton (SSGR) and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
  • Proposed technical solutions to adjudicate SHIPALT design issues discovered during pre-planning and execution.
  • Served as Execution Lead for an emergency accelerated maintenance project for a VIRGINIA-Class submarine at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. The project was successfully completed one week ahead of schedule.
  • Served as Structural Technical Lead for the pre-planning and execution of major modernization projects for two Virginia Class submarines in Portsmouth and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyards.
  • Provided deck-plate engineering support and supported execution of a major overhaul and repair project for a Los Angeles Class submarine at the company’s shipyard in Groton, CT.
