-Provided guidance and direction to four Platoon Sergeants and four Platoon Commanders.
-Promote, teach, and enforce USMC customs, traditions, and common skills.
-Oversee day to day operations of the company, conducting formations, maintaining accountability and observing the training and morale of assigned Marines.
-Ensure effective communication throughout the chain of command.
-Advise the Company Commander on disciplinary matters for infractions of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
-Enforce Policies and procedures to ensure proper functioning of the company.
-Responsible for accountability and training management of all assigned Marines.
-Evaluate and provide recommendations to Company Commander on retention, promotion, proficiency and conduct of junior Marines.
-Review company administrative matters and ensure timely completion of fitness reports, proficiency/conduct marks, promotion recommendations and award submissions.
-Implement, maintain, and supervise Company's Family Readiness Program.
-Train the Battery to standard utilizing the Training and Readiness Manual, METLs and MOS handbook, while also personally achieving and maintaining full combat qualification.
-Advise the Battery Commander on all tactical employment and deployment matters.
-Responsible for the technical and tactical development of the Marines in the Battery.
-Supervise accountability and maintenance of all Battery weapons, vehicles, and equipment.
-Coordinate with Battalion Staff and outside agencies for all required logistical and training support, to include movement, provisions, ranges, training areas and facilities.
-Mentor and counsel the Platoon Sergeants to further their professional development, while providing guidance and leadership for the Marines in the Battery.
-Be prepared to assume the duties of the First Sergeant in his absence.
