Finn Shaughnessy

I have recently started my senior year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, after transferring from the University of California-Irvine. I am studying brain and cognitive science. I founded a Gen Z marketing and research firm, Z-Pak, helping brands reach my generation with messaging that breaks through.

• UIUC American Marketing Association: At UIUC, I joined the AMA and attended mostly all of the lectures and learned critical skills like creating a website, promotions, data analytics, and social media. Here I began to advance Z-Pak further.
• AI: I am very in-tune with coding, data analysis which contributes to A.I. overall. I have taken courses in Matlab, RStudio, and Python. I have experience with AI prompt development and ChatGPT.
• Z-Pak: Currently, I am developing a business start-up to analyze companies communications and evaluate their efforts to reach my audience through quick feedback from a generation Z marketing influencer group I have formed.
• UCI Manifest: During my tenure at UCI, UCI Manifest helped me gain the basic understanding of entrepreneurship skills. Here is where I started my company, “Z-Pak.”
• UCI Ski Club: The Ski Club was a great experience. It allowed me to grow my network and allowed me to reconnect with something my father loves to do, ski.
• National Society of Leadership and Success Selectee: Last year, I was selected to the National Society of Leadership and Success. This was the greatest academic achievement that I have received, and I am still highly grateful and proud of this accomplishment.
