Summary

I have worked for Winter Haven Fire Department for twenty-five years. I am currently a company officer and paramedic who is also the acting logistics officer. As a company officer I have assisted with the development and implementation of department policies both alone and with a committee. I have sat on interview panels for both my current department and for other outside agencies. As the acting logistics officer I have learned budget preparation, funds distribution, and procurement rules. I have had to analyze expenditures to determine if there is a more cost efficient process or other vendors that would be able to provide better services. I have also had the pleasure of serving as the president of the departments union and conducted many contract negotiations. I am currently looking to take my skills, knowledge, and desire to teach the next generation of firefighter to a higher level all while ensuring that the public image of the fire department is maintained at the highest professional standard.
