I have been working at Amazon since 2022, where I have found opportunities for growth by taking an interest in learning different processes and contributing ideas to improve the service we offer our customers, always keeping safety and the achievement of objectives in mind.
Vendor Returns
I trained 90% of the VR Unit's Problem Solvers in Stow Audit procedures, resulting in a 50% reduction in the staffing gap for this function.
I provide operational support within the area whenever requested by Process Assistants (PAs) or Managers or during their absences to ensure that the unit continues to operate normally and without interruption.
I proposed and implemented a reconfiguration of the SLAM area to ensure that, upon reaching the end of the line, packages were deposited in a designated zone that facilitated their transfer to the scale, thereby preventing accidents that could cause injuries to employees.
I identified, proposed, and implemented a blocking mechanism for stowing large, heavy items. This ensured that heavy items could only be stowed in bins located within the "Power Zone," reducing injuries by 80%.
Train 85% of associates in all VR unit activities (Stow, Pick, Pack, Rebin, Pack, Problem Solving).
I provided training on Vendor Returns area processes to two Managers who were newly assigned to the department.
I identified and documented bins with damaged cornersa condition that exposed Associates to the risk of injury resulting in the necessary maintenance being performed to repair them.
Regarding safety I identified and reported poor lighting conditions within the parking area. This issue poses a potential accident risk particularly during the winter months when periods of darkness are more prolonged.
Provide training on safety topics (hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment, temperature-related health risks both in summer and winter and accident reporting).
Customer Return.
Bigs Area. I worked in this area for a period of approximately six months. During this time I identified and highlighted that the technological system processed items based on their original state (some items arrive vacuum-compressed) rather than their returned state (at their full normal size). Examples included pillows and pet beds.
Performed the duties of inspecting customer returns always with the objective of providing the best possible service to our customers while adhering to established operational and safety standards.
