- My duties include customer service to our Hickory members as well as guests from other lodges, and on occasion the public. Our downstairs bar is for events, weddings, birthdays, High school reunions, etc. Both upstairs & downstairs we are in charge of getting ice, counting & depositing the money at the end of our shift, taking out the trash/glass bottles, sweeping/vacuuming, breaking down the bar and shutting down/ locking up the lodge when we leave. In addition to our duties upstairs, we are in charge of any raffles/money behind the bar, our daily $1 draw at 7pm, unloading our liquor/beer/wine orders, popping the popcorn and cleaning the machine, cooking food in the back from our Bar menu, as well as handling the Keno machine & the keno money. Most of the time each bartender works by themselves open-close, except on Friday nights, and/or on event nights.
- Served high customer volumes during special events, nights, and weekends.
- Performed opening and closing duties, printing sales reports, setting up for incoming shift, preparing cash drawers, and taking inventory.
- Followed alcohol awareness procedures for preventing excessive guest intoxication.

Pottery
When I was taking classes in college, I took a pottery class for a while and fell in love with it. Over the course of the semester, I created quite a few things ranging from something as simple a mug to making a set of plates/bowls. I have continued to make pottery and small things ever since.
