Ability to perform operational check and periodic inspection and maintenance on mechanical and electrical components.
Ability to secure aircraft engine and transmission.
Familiar with all maintenance Instruction manuals.
Ability to launch and recover aircrafts in support of activities flight schedule.
Ability to use standard aircraft manual such us Naval Air Training and Operating
Procedures Standardization (NATOPS).
Ability to detect corrosion and familiar with the corrosion control manual.
Ability to operate ground support equipment such as electrical power supply, tow tractor,
light cars and engine starting unit.
Ability to handle and dispose hazmat and comply with all safety regulations.

Operates, maintain, and perform maintenance on steam catapults, barricades, arresting gear, and associated equipment ashore and afloat; operates and maintain mechanical and electrical systems; conducts troubleshooting and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. Dissembles mechanical and electrical systems, replaces defective parts, and reassembles. Inspects, tests, adjusts and calibrates catapults and related equipment such as the Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Automated Transfer Switches, Fire detection system.... Prepare data for equipment logs. Carries out quality assurance measures. Supervise team member; inventories equipment and spare parts; updates and tracks inventories; orders and maintain required supplies; coordinates aviation operation; manage human performance; monitors safety: uses personnel safety equipment, employs safety accountability measures and generates safety reports; performs firefighting duties in complex flight environments; use maintenance card, create maintenance record and computerized files. Recommends personnel development activities and training; provides career mentoring and training in the area of expertise; prepares executive briefs; leads large teams on complex projects and initiatives; maintains and updates a records information system; develops and maintains operating budgets; implements leadership compliance policies; uses decision-making to manage re-occurring problems; and retrieves and deploys information to support daily workflow.
